Every year the Effzeh USA community hosts a meetup to get together, watch a Köln match, and take in a local soccer match. We'll also get to know what makes Omaha a unique place. We've got local Effzeh supporters to show us around, too. Follow @effzehomaha on twitter, and get to know the crew there before we arrive! If you live near Omaha, it would also be helpful to join their Facebook group to stay up-to-date with their watch parties and events outside of our meetup. Union Omaha Match 8/13
Everyone will be arriving at different times, but we will have an official welcome party at an Effzeh Omaha family's house from 6pm-9pm in the Benson neighborhood. After the welcome event, we'll head out to the Homy Inn. We'll send out the address to the welcome event in an email when you RSVP.
We'll be watching the second match of the Bundesliga season together at Farnam House Brewing Company! The match against RB Leipzig starts at 8:30am Central Time. The bar opens at 8:15am for us, and the kitchen will open at halftime!
We're going to a Union Omaha match against the Northern Colorado Hailstorm in USL League One. The match is at 7pm on Saturday, August 13! We'll be meeting up with the Omaha Parliament - the local Union Omaha supporter group - before the match.
Bus to Game + Meal at Bärchen
We have two ticket options, and both include a meal at Bärchen before a shuttle to the match! For $30 you get all of this and a ticket to the match. If you already have a ticket, you can get the shuttle and meal for $20. The shuttle to the game leaves Bärchen at 5:30pm sharp.

Effzeh Bar Crawl
Each year we host a bar crawl leading up to the local soccer match. Between the Köln match and the Union Omaha match we're going to visit various bars in the Benson neighborhood. Stick with our twitter account to get updates on our location as the day moves on. We'll start the bar Crawl at 11 Eleven, a wine bar on Maple Street.
Brunch on Sunday 8/14
Finally, before everyone heads out on Sunday, join us for brunch! We'll plan on eating meeting at 10:00am to give people plenty of time to eat before heading home.
There is no official block of hotel rooms or Airbnbs to stay in, but we have recommendations for you!
We highly recommend staying in North Omaha's Benson neighborhood. This is where our first event on Friday night will be as well as the bar crawl and shuttle to the match on Saturday. There are bars, restaurants, and coffeeshops available nearby. There are no hotels in this area, but there are many Airbnbs.
If you would rather stay in a hotel, we recommend staying in the Old Market area of downtown or in Midtown Crossing (near Farnam House Brewing Company for the Saturday match). There are plenty of hotels in those areas to suit your needs.
FAQs.
Q: Do we buy tickets to the Union Omaha match as a group, or should I get my own tickets?
A: We will purchase the tickets as a group if you purchased a ticket package!
Q: I already have tickets to the Union Omaha match. Can I RSVP without purchasing a ticket through you?
A: Yes! The RSVP site is for both locals who already have tickets, and for out-of-towners. Just choose the option that works for you!
Q: I'm not sure if I can go or not, should I still RSVP?
A: Yes, please RSVP. We will email you shortly before the deadline to purchase tickets, and we will keep you updated about the event to make sure you are up-to-date.
Q: Is this event family friendly?
A: Absolutely! Kids are welcome at all of the events, though the late night events at bars will likely be 21+. Everything during the day through the Union Omaha match is kid-friendly.
Q: I don't know much about the team, is that ok?
A: Everyone started somewhere with their Effzeh fandom. Some of us were born into it, others adopted it just this year. We really hope you'll feel welcome regardless of your background. You don't have to be a diehard fan to join us.
