The beginnings of the group can be traced to the first interactions between members of Effzeh Chicago and Effzehnati at a chance encounter during an FC Cincinnati pregame event in 2017.

Events started being organized in 2018 with the first "official" Effzeh USA meetup held in Cincinnati with further events in Chicago, Madison, Omaha, Washington DC, and Albuquerque. The group became an official fan club recognized by the club in April 2023.
